Teams earn revenue from ticket/concession sales during regular season and playoff home games. The amount of money earned can be seen on the box score for each home game.
Teams earn the majority of their revenue by selling tickets. Teams may adjust their ticket price at any point during the season using the GM Client.
Maximum ticket prices are set as follows:
Teams may increase arena capacity by adding seats. Extra seating may be added in multiples of 500, to a maximum capacity of 26,000 seats. The cost for each new block of 500 seats is $1,000,000.
Teams may reconfigure their arena seating (i.e. changing the number of seats in each section without adding to the overall number) by paying $100,000 to an SICHL-approved contractor.
Teams may only perform arena upgrades during the off-season. Email the Commissioner to perform either of these operations to your arena.
The Salary Floor is enforced at the end of the regular season and is compared to each team's total Pro and Farm Expenses. Any team which has not spent to the floor during the season will have the difference deducted from their finances.
The current salary floor is $50 million.
General managers overseeing franchises that have a bank balance below zero at the end of the SICHL season (playoffs included), will be precluded from bidding on players in Unrestricted Free Agency with ratings 70OV and above the following season.
GM’s are expected to be fiscally responsible (see 4.1 Fiscal Responsibility)
