The season that would never end for the Shamrocks finally came to a conclusion last night with a 4-3 OT win versus the Cougars. Following the conclusion of the game, owner/ general manager Ryan Torrie annouced that everyone had been let go, including the long time assistant general manager Owen Nolan and the entire coaching staff. "Even though we surpassed last season in total points, it was not good enough. We had many winnable games and at one point it looked like we could make a playoff push, but again we failed,"  Torrie told the media following last night's game. When asked about why he decided to make such drastic moves following the last game of the season, he said that "we have to start fresh going into next season and that means everything had to go. I am going to keep Larry  as the team mascot for now,"

Shown the door last night included the team's assistant general manager Nolan, head coach Sheldon Keefe, assistasnt coaches Alex Tanguay and Andrei Markov, goaltending consultant Pete Carroll, heads of pro and amatuer scouting Kyle Dubas and Mark Hunter and strength and conditioning coach Ryane Clowe. GHA coaches were also let go following the Rangers'  disappointing season as well.

GM Torrie told the media that he will start the hiring process immediately and is expected to have a full staff in place prior to the end of the playoffs. "I have some good leads for each of the postiions and I am looking forward to meeting with the canadiates over the coming weeks."

When asked about the roster GM Torrie told the media that the Shamrocks are closed for business until a new staff is in place. "I have a couple of ideas for the off-season, but I want to share them with the new staff prior to any moves being made."

GM Torrie was also asked about the highlights of the season. "I was really impressed with Blake Lizotte. "Lizotte played the full 82 game schedule and led the team in points with 50. We are happy with the progress he made this season. We are looking forward to what he will bring to our the organization next season. We were also happy with the play of Jakob Silfverberg. Since making the move from Havana, he amassed 14 points in 22 games with the organization.

Shamrocks fans are used to the constant yo-yo approaach to managing a hcokey team, "Oh well, I am sad to see the coaching staff go, but this is the way it needs to be, if we ever want to be relevant again," said season ticketholder Bono.

Fans should expect to hear about the canadiates for the vacant positions in the coming weeks and once that is in place, the real work begins for the organization.
