The Colonials have played 33 games so far this season and have had to endure a revolving door of goalie injuries! While the team currently sits in the World Conference basement with 15 points and a 6-24-3 record, there is hope for a brighter future.

We are starting to see the emergence of Tim Stuetzle as a future all-star/potential superstar. Stuetzle possesses high-end skating, vision and puck skills and it is evident in his play. “Fans are here to see Timmy. He gets people out of their seats with the plays he makes. The guy puts in the work” said team captain Kyle Okposo.

While it will take a few more seasons of drafting and development, we will start to see a number of guys climbing the organizational ladder rather quickly.

Goalies like Pyotr Kochetkov and Joel Hofer are inching closer to the big league level. Devon Levi could sign an ELC in the next year or two is putting up solid numbers again this year with a weaker Northeastern team in the NCAA. While he started off slow, Dennis Hildeby has since posted better numbers than veteran starter Matt Tomkins with Farjestads in the SHL. He currently has a 2.32 GAA with a .917 SvPCT.

We are also seeing positive results with the development of guys like William Eklund, Luke Evangelista, Simon Nemec, Jeremie Poirier, Ridly Greig, Jean-Luc Foudy and Xavier Simoneau. All of whom should be regulars in the GHA next year!

Guys who are still in junior like Zach Dean, Stanislav Svozil, David Spacek and Joshua Roy are looking great in the CHL. All of whom shined in this past WJC!

Given where we are sitting in the standings, the team will very likely make a top 5 pick in the 2023 draft and there are some very good players to choose from. Scouting staff continues to put in the work to ensure they are prepared for next fall.

There is a lot to get pumped up about and fans have been patient and coming out to support the team. Hopefully they will be rewarded in the coming seasons!
