The Las Vegas Aces pulled the trigger on a couple of deals over the weekend and when the dust settled Evgeni Kuznetsov was on a flight to Sin City.

The Aces wasted no time going after Kuznetsov when rumuors popped up in Banff. Las Vegas sent Noah Hanifin, Denis Gurianov and a 1st round pick in 2023 to the Rockies.

Kuznetsov will come into Vegas and anchor the teams second line behind fellow Russian Evgeni Malkin. The Aces also acquired $5,000,000 dollars in the deal as they began to plan for free agency

In a second deal the Aces sent Sami Vatanen, Henrik Lundqvist and a pair of draft pics to the Schooners for Jeff Petry, Keith Kincaid and Connor Brown

"Petry will be staying in Vegas as our franchise player, we like him a lot as the anchor of our blueline moving forward." said GM Dustin Nielson.

The Aces are expected to run with Darcy Kuemper between the pipes for the rest of the season and possibly next season as well.
