Tootoo Waivers Home from Windy City !

Huskies beat Sonics in Edmonton. Burmistrov off to quick start to season.

Huskies add Jordin Tootoo  from the waiver draft , he was picked up from the Chicago Tigers.

Last year Tootoo scored 29 points in 75 games. Tootoo starts the year in Penticton with the Claim Jumpers , a team he has captained before. Welcome home Jordan to were you started your career.

 

 Jimmy Hayes was sent down to the Claim Jumpers and Alexander Burmistrov joins the Huskies . Burmistrov the former first round pick of the Huskies , scored a goal in his first game . He is slated to suit up for the next game against the Ottawa Slammers in Ottawa . Former Huskie Brad Marchand who

signed a four year deal at 3.5 mill per year , was left unmatched by the Huskies . The Huskies will be selecting in the Ottawa's 1st round , Brandon's 1st round and their own 1 st round spot in the 2014 draft .

 

 Big win in Edmonton over the Sonics , Huskies outshoot Sonics three to one , 39 to 13 . Alexander Burmistrov started the Huskies scoring in the second period. Jordan Staal scored from Martin St Louis and Victor Hedman at 12;10 second period. Then just 43 seconds later , Martin St Louis banged in number three from Jordan Staal and Drew Doughty . This short handed marker was a key turning point , note , all three players involved in the scoring of this goal were named stars of the game. Carey Price had a .923 save percentage for win  number two.                                                                                                                                                                                                  Drew Shore from Claimjumpers is injured (Right Ankle) and is out for 2 months , he was leading the team in scoring at the time.
