Deadline Day Dice Rolledby Dustin Nielson | March 20, 2016, 5:05 PM ET
The Las Vegas Aces once again did not shy away from wheeling and dealing prior to the SICHL deadline. Here's what things look like when the dust settled.
The Aces made a monstrous deal on Saturday sending Jeff Petry, Alex Martinez, Curtis McElhinney along with 1st round picks in 2018 and 2019 and a 4th rounder in 2020 to Boston in exchange for Travis Hamonic, Anton Stralman, Jonathan Bernier and a 3rd round pick in 2016.
Prior to the deadline on Sunday Las Vegas sent Brandon Pirri to the Spartans for Mathieu Perrault.
"The most important thing for us when improving our defense was to acquire dmen that would have contract control for atleast the next three seasons and in Hamonic's case beyond that." said GM Dustin Nielson. "Same thing does with Bernier, he gives us a lot of options with Bobrovsky and Montoya moving forward into the summer but right now he's a guy who can really push Bob."
For the most part....the team you see right now is the team you will see for the next three seasons and that's what we wanted to do.
The Aces are still missing PK Subban and Bryan Little to injury but they are expected to return soon and when they do this is what Las Vegas will be taking to the playoffs.
