Aces Spend 60 Million To Reload

by Dustin Nielson | October 24, 2014, 10:16 PM ET

GM Dustin Nielson was busy this off-season bringing in a number of veteran faces to help some of the young guys the Aces already have in place.

The Aces signed Marian Gaborik to a 4 year deal that will average just under 10 million per season. "It's a lot of money but we think he's in a good place now and is the perfect compliment for a number of the centers we have here in Vegas", said Gm Dustin Nielson.

The Aces also added veteran fowards Brian Gionta and Michael Ryder on the wings this off-season and brought Saku Koivu back for one final season in Vegas. "We weren't going to watch him end his SICHL career anywhere else," confirmed Nielson.

Nielson also added Zbynek Michael to the Aces blueline. "He's the stay at home defenseman this group was lacking last season."

Luongo was traded this off-season so Ben Scrivens will now back up Sergei Bobrovsky. Viktor Fasth was signed in the off-season to provide some depth.

Here is the projected Aces line up for opening day.

Landeskog - Toews - Simmonds

Gaborik - Sedin - Oshie

Perron - M.Koivu - Gionta

Galchenyuk - S.Koivu - Ryder

Goligoski - Hjalmarsson

Brodie - Enstrom
