    No upset here either.

OTT owned BRN in the season series, but all three games were in the first half of the season -- the second-half Wheaties are a different team. Karlsson could win the series by himself, but short of that it's BRN's to lose.

Have to aboard the Slamwagon on this matchup, they had the Wheaties # all season.

Ottawa won three tight meetings between the two teams so might have the mental edge. Brandon has home ice advantage and the Slammers don't have a great road record. Special teams advantage also goes to the Wheat Kings. Still, in the end it seems like it's a good match up for Ottawa in an upset.

Two of my favorite GMs are going to go 7 games. Doug impressed all year, but Pat's plucky team should never be counted out.

Think the Slamwagon has the gas to get through this series.

How does Doug do it? Team balance means his first line may not beat you and his top pair may not shut you down, but he has depth, depth, depth. Might be foolish to pick against him, but I buy the idea that best on best in a seven game series favours the Slammers.

Slammers have some big time players and it's time they step it up. All aboard the Slam Wagon!

Two fan-favorite franchises and unfortunately only one will move on. The Slammers had the Wheaties number in sweeping the season series, but they haven't played each other lately. It's a coin flip for me.

Doug's had a helluva season, but the Wheaties seemed to struggle in the second half after a dominant first half. Plus the Slammers swept the season series, which I'm going to pretend matters in this preview.

I think that Pat finds a way to end the Wheaties' perplexingly strong season.

The Wheaties lost out on another Commissioner's Trophy in the final month of the season, but maybe they were saving their energy for post-season success, which has thus far eluded the highly-respected Doug Karnes. I can't figure this team out, but despite being swept in the season series, you can't argue with a 108-point season.

Ottawa won the season series, but the Wheat Kings will pull out the victory in 7. (Gord will be on their side)

I like Ottawa's roster better than Brandon's ... right up until you get to the goaltenders. The Slammers never pulled off that trade for a netminder that we all thought was coming. It looks like it might be their fatal flaw. Looking for Brandon in a close series.

Doug's time to move deep into playoffs.
