    Powerful Norsemen too much here
  • Eric Schneider

This series is a lot closer than a 1v8 ought to be. VAN has the top-flight talent, but these teams have comparable depth and goaltending. This could turn into a slug-fest, and will likely come down to which team's goalie decides to show up.
  • Gary Graves
Gary Graves - Norsemen in 6
Ole Norsey in 6, surely the top team can squeeze out a first round win?
  • Guy Flaming
Guy Flaming - Norsemen in 5
The Norsemen go into the playoffs on a roll. Statistically speaking, they are better than in Edmonton in every category and the fact that their road record is even better than their home record could mean this series ends extremely quickly.
  • Henry Skey
Henry Skey - Norsemen in 6
Matt celebrated his third banner with a great record to finish strong. Will he get his revenge on Norm? It all starts here with a 6 game win over Mike's team. Did I mention he has Barzal AND Wild Bill next year AND two first round picks? Talk about the rich getting richer! Although Rick Nash is basically dead, so the Sim isn't letting him get off entirely without a hitch.

The Norsesmen are trying to play the underdog card, expecting the sim to punish them in the first round the way it did all year....but it won't
  • Kasim Husain
Kasim Husain - Norsemen in 6
I always pay too much attention to the goalie in these predictions, so normally I'd have picked this series for an upset with the better rated Talbot, but the Norsemen have been on such a roll you can't argue with them this year.

Norsemen dispatch Sonics in 5 as they begin another deep run.

Mike is one of the legends of the sim. And everyone knows the sim hates Matt. Rick Nash's knee is very sore, and we all know whiny Sid will likey be injured. So I'll take the Sonics here.
  • Matt Burch
Matt Burch - Norsemen in 5
The injuries give Edmonton a chance, but I think it'll take a miracle to give them a series victory.
  • Matt MacInnis
Matt MacInnis - Norsemen in 6
Injuries to the Norsemen will make this series much closer than a conventional 1v8.
  • Michael Oram

Normally I hate betting against myself, but I have to be real here and admit that I don't have a tonne of confidence in my team right now. We've been very inconsistent and even though the season series v. the Norsies was a respectable 2-2-1, we stumbled down the stretch against lesser opponents when it mattered the most.
  • Ryan Torrie
Ryan Torrie - Norsemen in 6
I want to cheer against the Norsemen, but I am looking forward to a Fire Ants/Norsemen re-match.
  • Sean Gallagher
Sean Gallagher - Supersonics in 7
The numbers say to take the Norsemen, but this was a close season series and something is telling me that the Sonics aren't going out. Whichever team wins, I believe it'll be in the 7th game. I'm throwing in on an upset by Edmonton.
  • Sheetal Khera
Sheetal Khera - Norsemen in 6
Norsemen are ready to go deep but always count on the Sonics to be tough in the playoffs.

    Norsemen survive a close series.
