Ants had their scarry series , now beat St Louis in six. Ants time to shine as rest of World conference surges up the standings , now Norman....

I went against my gut in the HAV/STL series and Sean made me regret it, so I'm going with it here. St. Louis seems like this year's team of destiny, and I think they match up better against Norm's Ants than they did against the cigar-chomping Revolution.
  • Guy Flaming
Guy Flaming - Spartans in 7
    I'll go with the upset.

I really want to see a new winner this year...so I'm going Sean in 6!

If you thought Ottawa's loss to Brandon was a huge upset, then Havana bowing out to St. Louis in the first round was an upset of historic proportions. The Spartans will go as far as playoff scoring leader Patrice Bergeron will carry them, and with Philly is not as deep as it used to be on defence or in net, St. Louis will prove to be this year's true Cinderella team.

I picked them last round, even got a bullseye! I'm riding the Spartan wave, baby!

I'm just saying, the probability of Norm winning the Cup this year just so he can gloat about it at SICHL XX is extremely high.
  • Michael Oram

Gary's daughter's favourite team versus the team that took out Jeff. How do I choose!? I'm going with the underdog. Plus think of all the awesome 300 GIFs that can fill our Twitter feeds if they win!
  • Mike Franceschini
Mike Franceschini - Spartans in 7
This one has the makeup of an epic series. Two GMs who have been to the finals and know how to win in the playoffs. Defying logic, I think I like the mix of Sean's Sparty's a bit more than Norm's strictly veteran team.

The Spartans did just enough to beat a clearly superior Havana team in the first round. Can they do the same to a clearly superior Philly squad? No. No they can not.

I like the style the Spartans are playing.
