Don Morrison - Norsemen in 5
I want oldtimer hockey Doug to beat Norsemen. But no way magic goaltending continues, sorry Van Island in five.
Doug Karnes - Wheat Kings in 7
Eric Schneider - Norsemen in 6
Doug is some sort of Jedi master, right? There's just no other reasonable explanation for the Wheaties knocking off the Slammers. I can't in good conscience bet against Matt after he took me down, and I certainly can't when there's this big a mismatch on paper. I'll give it 6 games out of respect to whatever voodoo the Wheaties are working.
Guy Flaming - Norsemen in 4
The average blueline of the Norsemen is missing some key guys but overall Brandon is outmatched by a fair margin. That said, the same was true in the first round.
Henry Skey - Norsemen in 7
Wheat Kings made it through. I don't know how, I honestly don't. But they did. I'm going with Matt in 7 but I'm not confident at all. When am I ever?
Jeff Prozeller - Norsemen in 6
Kasim Husain - Norsemen in 6
The Norsemen had their hands full with the Schooners in the first round, and now face an upstart Wheat Kings squad that confounded all the experts (myself included) to reach the second round. Brandon may look poised for a Cinderella run, but as I said before, this just feels like Matt's year, and the Victorians' solid lineup from top to bottom will see them through.
Kirk MacRae - Norsemen in 4
Matt Burch - Norsemen in 5
No offense but it's hard to believe Brandon made it by the Slammers. Norsemen should be able to get by the Wheaties and let their battered blue line rest, which is a good position for them.
Matt MacInnis - Norsemen in 6
The Wheat Kings have already sunk one of the top 5 teams in the league in the Slammers this playoffs, so they're a very live underdog here. Norsemen come in with injuries to two key puck-moving defencemen as Duncan Keith will miss the entire series and Ellis might only be available if it goes long. That said, I still like the Norsemen to win on the strength of our elite skill up front.
Michael Oram - Norsemen in 7
This should be a close series. A couple of big injuries to the Norsemen. I think Vancouver Island squeak out a win here but it will take all they have.
Mike Franceschini - Norsemen in 6
This may be the year that the sim finally favors the Norsemen. I underestimated the Wheaties chances in round 1, so maybe it's foolish to do so again, but the Norsemen were so good all year.
Norm Donovan - Norsemen in 5
How is Doug winning? // Will his luck continue on? // Sorry, I vote no.
Pat Booth - Wheat Kings in 6
Hail our lords and masters
Ryan Torrie - Norsemen in 5
I trust the Norseman can knockoff the giant killers.
Sam Myers - Norsemen in 5
Sean Gallagher - Norsemen in 6
I think Brandon can play that low-scoring game that behooves them for a couple of these games, but it's going to be hard to keep the Norsemen from breaking through.
Sheetal Khera - Norsemen in 7
Without Keith I think the Norsemen might be pressed a bit but they should be able to win.
Tom Baker - Norsemen in 7
