Norsemen get soft waiting for playoffs " what's know as Blackhawks syndrome. " 😷
Doug Karnes - Norsemen in 4
Dustin Nielson - Norsemen in 4
Continue to build on a great season
Eric Schneider - Norsemen in 5
Now that my lines are working, I think I'm good enough to steal ONE game. Seriously, the Norsemen are just ridiculous this year, evidenced by the absolute spanking I received from them on three occasions.
Gary Graves - Norsemen in 5
I think the Norsemen are rolling and will make quick work of the Schooners. If there was an upset I would root for Eric as a fellow #MerchBrother, but can't see it happening.
Guy Flaming - Schooners in 7
Tough not to take the #1 seed, especially considering the season sweep. That said, the Boatmen won't be an easy out. In the end, I'm picking the upset as Nova Scotia is better (on paper) in net and on the blueline.
Henry Skey - Schooners in 7
Going with the upset here. Why? Because the SIM hates Matt almost as much as it hates Eric and since Matt has always had an incredible team and deserves a championship, I fully believe he will inexplicably lose in the first round. Eric's a strong 8 seed but I wouldn't put money on this.
Jeff Prozeller - Norsemen in 6
The battle for Poseidon...aka the Poseidon's trophy series. Im going Norsemen although I think they will have their hands full.
Kasim Husain - Norsemen in 7
The Schooners have been underachieving all year long, and made the playoffs by losing some dead weight and going on a serious late-season tear. They will take it to the truly dominant Norsemen and come back like gangbusters next season, but something tells me this is finally Matt's (and Sid the Kid's) year.
Kirk MacRae - Norsemen in 5
Mark MacRae - Schooners in 7
The Schooners made a hard push to make it into the playoffs and so they are peaking at the right time. Also the sim hates the Norsemen.
Matt Burch - Norsemen in 5
Every game will be close, but it's hard not to give the edge to the Norsemen.
Matt MacInnis - Norsemen in 7
It's going to be a long, gruesome series that will be much closer than any 1v8 should be. I'm hoping to pull off the win eventually.
Michael Oram - Norsemen in 7
This series will be close but I have to give the edge to the Norsemen who swept the regular season matchup. That being said, I would not be surprised if we see an upset here. After all the Sim does hate Matt!
Mike Franceschini - Norsemen in 5
After years of underachieving, the Norsemen finally secured their first banner (Commissioner's Trophy) and are not interested in stopping there. Meanwhile, in Halifax, the Schooners have sputtered since failing to acquire to Brent Seabrook when they had the chance. Everyone's healthy here, and the Norsemen swept the regular season series, so I'm not expecting any surprises here.
Norm Donovan - Norsemen in 7
Two very deep teams here,
A slight edge to Vancouver,
I still hate Crosby.
Pat Booth - Norsemen in 5
The Norsemen scored like 70 goals more in the regular season.
Ryan Torrie - Schooners in 7
I have to take the underdog. Sneek into the playoffs on the back of Kucherov. It will be fun to watch.
Sam Myers - Schooners in 7
Sean Gallagher - Norsemen in 7
Not a typical 1 vs 8, the Schooners play well at home and have played the Norsemen close this year. A couple breaks go their way and turns into a series.
Sheetal Khera - Norsemen in 5
Battle of Vancouver GMs but I give this one to the Norsemen they have the the right team this year.
Tom Baker - Norsemen in 6
Norsemen won't choke (yet).
